# editor.hover

> Talos 0.7 · Since 0.6

Put the pointer on a control and leave it there for several frames, which is what opens a submenu.

Some controls have no name until a hover has happened: File ▸ Open scene ▸ a scene needs editor.click on menu.file, then editor.hover on scene.open, then editor.click on the scene.
