# nav-undeclared

> Talos 0.7 · Since 0.6

A `navlink` in a scene that declares no navigation (no `meta.nav`, no `navagent`): no navmesh is built, so it does nothing. Warning: see SEVERITY. The same code is what `ctx.world.path` throws in such a scene (docs/RUNTIME-CODES.md).

## What to do

add `"nav": {}` to the scene's `meta` (or give an entity a `navagent`); tools that must route anyway run `argus run --nav`

The message opens with the code; `<…>` stands for a value.

- `this <…> does nothing: the scene declares no navigation (no meta.nav and no navagent), so no navmesh is built; add "nav": {} to meta`
