# TouchBinding

> Talos 0.6 · Since 0.6

The touch source an action reads: a screen region and what a finger in it does.

Additive with the keyboard, mouse and pad (strongest wins); a region is live only while its context is.

## Fields

| Field | Type | Required | Default | Allowed values | Description |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| `mode` | `TouchMode` | yes | | `stick`, `drag`, `button`, `tap` | What a finger in the region does (stick, drag, button or tap). |
| `region` | `TouchRegion` | yes | | | Where on the screen the region is, normalised 0..1. |
| `fixed` | `boolean` | no | `false` | | `stick` only: measure the deflection from the region's centre rather than from where the finger landed. Default false, a floating stick. |
| `safeArea` | `boolean` | no | `true` | | Whether `region` is relative to the platform's safe area (clear of a notch or a home indicator) rather than the whole screen. Default true. A platform that reports no insets has a safe area equal to the whole screen. |
